Hello everyone!
It’s been a while since the last post on the YourBidDirectory.com Blog. I just wanted to let everyone know that things are going smoothly. As always, a permanent listing starts at $1 for your website, and you can add to it at any time to increase your site in position. Today alone we had 11 new listings! That’s a record for us.
Thanks as always for your support! We are working very hard to increase the visibility of Your Bid Directory as well as increase link popularity, directly giving your site more exposure. If you’d like to read up more about Bidding Directories such as this one, visit my previous post. You may also add your site’s listing.
Feel free to comment if you have any questions!

We already know that directory submissions are important to search engine ranks. But how do directories really affect them?
So many factors are involved when search engines calculate a site’s particular ranking in the listings for any given keyword. But search engines take into account highly the number of quality, relevant links from trusted sites. The quickest and most effective way to build relevant links is through directories. That is because they are relatively inexpensive compared to other methods of link building, and they have merit in search engines for the most part. But the important thing to remember is that not all directories are created equal.
Often on free directories, your link is lost in a sea of irrelevant links. This isn’t going to hurt your rakings necessarily, but it’s not going to help much either. The types of directories that remain are paid directories and bid directories. Paid directories are great and usually offer the most benefit. However, most paid directories charge more than the link is actually worth. To list your link on several paid directories would cost a fortune. Only listing on a few paid directories isn’t going to give you the benefit your site needs. The best alternative is bid directories. Bid directories are best because the links are listed in order of bid amount and are highly categorized. The webmaster gets to decide where on the directory they would like to list their site, depending on their budget. Then at any time, the bid can be increased, thus increasing the position on the directory. The category structure allows webmasters to pinpoint a relevant location for their listing on the directory, which will help users browsing the site find what they are looking for more easily, as well as helping search engines find your site. The best part of all–the top 10 links on bid directories appear on the homepage.
Bidding directories are not only great for increasing your search engine rankings and visibility, but also they will often provide your site with direct traffic from the directory! Because of the structure of bidding directories, they are very user friendly and visitors to the directory are more likely to follow a link to your site. Unlink free directories, where your link is buried in a sea of links, on bidding directories you have the ability to be listed on the homepage (remember, top 10 are listed on the homepage). Even if you are not listed on the homepage, the category structure allows visitors to quickly find the site that they are looking for.
Bid directories work both ways–for search engine rankings and for direct traffic. If you’re looking for a place to start with bidding directories, submit to our directory, Your Bid Directory. You can get a permanent listing on the directory for only $1, with the option of adding to your bid at any time. Click here to submit to Your Bid Directory and watch your rankings increase as well as traffic.
If you have any suggestions or things you would like to say, leave a comment! I’d be glad to hear from you.
Good luck! -Andrew

Building links is extremely important to a website’s success. This is because search engines use links to determine how popular a particular website is, and will have an effect on search engine placement. When people are looking for a website, they often use search engines such as Google or Yahoo, so it’s very important for your site to rank well. In my opinion, submitting to directories is the number one way to build quality links quickly and at a low cost.
If you didn’t know, directories are websites that allow you to list your site either for free or for a fee. Free and reciprocal directories are nice, but they may not offer as great of a benefit as paid directories. Yes, you get a link, but is anyone going to see it buried under all the others? With paid directories, your link is probably going to have a greater benefit, but the cost can really add up. The best solution is to use a combination of free directories AND bidding directories, like Your Bid Directory, in which webmasters place a “bid” and the bid amount determines the position on the directory. The best thing is, bids start at only $1 and are permanent!
When you do submit your site to directories, be sure to pick the category that is most relevant to your site. This will make the link more valuable to the search engines and it will also make it easier for people browsing the directory to find your site. If a directory offers deep links, it would be a good idea to take advantage of this feature. It will allow you to add more links on top of your main page to help search engines find the deeper pages of your site and build page rank for them.
So, for best results, add to all the free directories you can find, but don’t forget the powerful bidding directories. Bidding directories are not only important for links, but for visibility as well! With conventional directories, your site is buried under hundreds of others. But with bidding directories, your bid amount controls your position on the directory! Submit your site to Your Bid Directory for only $1!
Feel free to leave your comments! I’d be happy to hear from you.

Hi everyone!
My name is Andrew and I’m the founder of YBD (Your Bid Directory). This is my first post on our new blog! I’m going to be using this blog to communicate with visitors by posting site announcements as well as posting some useful webmaster information and tips in regards to SEO, link building, SERPS, etc. Keep on the lookout for a new post this week with some good information!
I’d like to use this post to talk about the site. YourBidDirectory.com is brand new, just over a week old. The goal is to provide webmasters a place to promote their website efficiently and effectively, giving better rankings and more visibility. I am going to be working very hard to improve the site and make a link on the home page more valuable to the customers. If you didn’t know, YBD is a link directory, or a place for webmasters to submit their sites and increase their rankings, backlinks, and visibility. But it’s not just any directory. It’s a bidding directory, which means that webmasters actually bid for position. The higher the bid, the higher up their listing is displayed. The top ten links are displayed on the homepage. All the links are permanent and start at just $1!
So far we’ve had six submissions, which I am very grateful for. Your submissions are going to help me get this directory moving and make it the best one on the net! I’d like to thank the current high bidder at $5, Bulk Bid Directory Submit Form.
Like I said, we are continuing to work very hard to improve the value of a link on YBD, and you won’t regret your listing here. We are building backlinks and ratings and in the distant future a link will be very valuable here. I encourage you to check out the directory and if you would like a link, you can use our submit form. We use SEO friendly pages and linking structure to give your site maximum benefit.
Thanks! Feel free to leave comments.
Andrew
